Beginning authors often don’t understand how the simple paragraph structure is important to moving their story along. This Fiction Fundamental gives guidance with respect to these techniques:

• Sentence and paragraph lengths
• Sentences that require too many phrases separated by commas including excessive serial commas
• Starting consecutive sentences with the same word
